Associated Symptoms
Most people infected with the West Nile virus will experience no symptoms at all; however, it can cause fever, rash, headache, fatigue and joint pain. In very rare cases, the West Nile virus can lead to muscle weakness, stiff neck, disorientation, tremors, convulsions, paralysis and coma. Symptoms that do find their way to your body will typically begin three to 14 days after being bit by a mosquito carrying the virus.
