It\u2019s not uncommon for a signal failure to occur, causing your sprinkler system to stop working. The program could also need a reboot. So, before you assume that the entire system is faulty, check to ensure that the program is working properly. This is one of the first things our lawn sprinkler expert will check and is something you can troubleshoot before we even get there. If your program is running and your sprinklers are not, then it\u2019s time to make an appointment.<\/p>\n<h2>Could It Be the Sensors?<\/h2>\n<p>Today\u2019s modern sprinkler systems come with rain and freeze sensors. These built-in sensors are designed to detect different weather patterns, thus taking the guesswork out of watering your lawn when there is rain in the forecast. Sometimes, these sensors can go bad, which means they cannot detect changes in the weather. When the freeze and rain sensor or internal connectivity has issues, the controller for your entire system can experience an issue. Various factors can cause these malfunctions, so it\u2019s always best to have a trained technician take a look.<\/p>\n<h2>Is Water Flow the Problem?<\/h2>\n<p>Water has to travel through an underground network of pipes and valves before eventually reaching the sprinkler heads. This means there are various places water flow could be blocked. Start by checking your sprinkler heads and removing debris. It\u2019s not uncommon for these to collect soil and grass blades over time, blocking the water flow.
